Howard and Robyn are trained, experienced, professional pastoral supervisors who believe in the strength of community and relationships. We’re focused on assisting you to discover ways be more effective in your work and vocation.
With professional backgrounds integrating pastoral ministry, executive leader development and clinical care, we offer professional supervision and coaching to people in Christian ministry, in the helping professions and in leadership.
Meet the Team
Howard Smartt
Co-founder of Panorama Supervision
Howard brings a warm and engaging presence to to his interactions with people. He has been supervising, coaching and mentoring practitioners and leaders in the Church, and helping professions for over 30 years. His background is an eclectic mix of pastoral ministry, counselling psychology, leadership development and coaching, and spiritual direction. Providing unhurried space for deep respectful listening, reflective collaboration and asking good questions, is at the heart of Howard’s approach to supervision and coaching.
While comfortable supervising in a variety of contexts, Howard has particular interest in supervision of executive leaders and supervision of supervision.
Away from work, Howard enjoys the discoveries of travel, the richness of conversation with family and friends over good coffee, and the re-creation of slowing down to appreciate the beauty that slips past us too often.
Howard has qualifications in Christian ministry, psychology, adult education and Christian leadership coaching. He is an accredited Supervisor Trainer with Australasian Association of Supervisors (AAOS).
Robyn Smartt
Co-founder of Panorama Supervision
Robyn is a warm, respectful and empathic supervisor generating trust and rapport. As a pastoral supervisor she brings the skills of deep listening, asking good questions, and support to her reflexive practice. These skills have been developed and finely tuned through her 40 years of ministry and clinical experience as a Pastor, Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor. Robyn loves to encourage, challenge and empower the supervisee to be curious, keep growing and applying reflective skills to strengthen their ministry and leadership practice.
Robyn loves to listen to music, walk on the beach and in the Australian bush and share conversation over a good cup of coffee.
Robyn is an accredited Supervisor Trainer with Australasian Association of Supervisors (AAOS), an accredited Clinical Counsellor and Supervisor with Psychotherapists and Counsellor Federation of Australia (PACFA) and is co-founder of Panorama Supervision.
